KIDO – a brand for cool kids
Finally, I am here to write about another, very creative and fun project for a client from Kaliningrad (Russia). I have completed it together with logo designer Dalius quite a while ago, but did not communicate about it before it appeared on my client’s shop window.
I had to come up with a name for a specialised kids shoe shop and e-shop. I asked why Russian company is approaching specialists form Lithuania and got a pleasant reply: “We want some fresh approach. We don’t want to be another shop with teddy bears”.
I don’t have kids so I tried to do my best to imagine how would I feel if I was a little girl brought to an orthopaedic shoe shop by my parents. I guess I would not like the idea. But when I looked at the shoes they were about to sell, I understood that even specialised footwear can look nice. So I offered to go for a different image that this sort of footwear now has and break some stereotypes. After all, kids are small people who have their opinion. They also want to look cool and stylish.
This is how name KIDO was born and when designer Dalius placed his hands on it – client received a really nice brand. And the most important thing – it was approved by the kids
